Volleyball was Fun!
If you don't recall one of my earlier posts about volleyball, then I'll refresh your memory. It sucked. I was a horrible player, people were mean to me, and I cried. I played volleyball tonight and I had a blast!! The most random/funny thing happened tonight. After everyone was done playing, this guy introduced himslef to me. We started talking about where we grew up. I said Santa Maria and he replied,"I lived there for a year and a half." I was like,"No way!" And then he says,"Yeah, I lived on Morrison." I replied,"I used to live on Morrison too!" And he said,"I lived in the Village Green apartments." Totally crazy!!! I used to live there too! So it was nice to talk to him because he kept asking me if I had been places in the area. It was cool. Then I asked him why he was in Santa Maria. He said that he works for the U.S. Geological Survey in the hydrology department. I was totally excited! He moved up here because the USGS owns one of the buildings at Sac State, he works there now. I then told him that my geology class in high school was what sparked my love for nature, and the rest is history. We even talked about the earthquake in Santa Maria. I made another friend too! She's a math teacher and a Christian (I know, how can a Christian teach math? I guess it's possible...) Anyway, it was just really cool to make some new friends. (but not replacements, don't worry) :o)
I have school tomorrow, I am so excited!
I decided that I miss three things in general... old people, kids and babies, and animals. When you're away at college, for the most part, you only see people your age. And we can't have animals in our condo. So, I think I'm going to start talking to more old people at church and maybe work at a school. As for the animals, I haven't solved that one yet. I had a cricket in my room the other day.... but he didn't want to be cuddled. Well, it's getting late. Hope everything is going well for everyone. I miss you!

A Day of Rest
Everynight, before I close my eyes, I thank God for what He is doing in my life. He is so full of surprises and I am loving that quality about Him! Whenever I expect Him to do something, He does the opposite and even better than what I had in mind. I really enjoy living here, and although I am frustrated that I don't have a job yet, the time I have had "off" has been so awesome! I have been blessed with friends that are totally rad, they even remind me of some of you, which is so cool. And I am loving school! I never thought I could find this much satisfaction in school. Don't get me wrong, I definitley dread getting up in the morning, and I also dread my archaeology class, but as soon as I get on my bike to ride to school, I get so excited! I really do learn something new everyday, and I enjoy coming home for lunch and relaxing. I am so glad I am in Sacramento and not at Humboldt. I am so thankful that my plans didn't work out, and that God's did.

Life is so funny!
I went back and read some of my older blog entries and I just started cracking up!! I am so thankful for all of the fun times I have had. I don't think I've ever had a day without laughter, and that is awesome! And you guys have all had a part in it. From breaking into pools, to having waterfights, to putting up with me telling you about my 20 million dollar dream for the 20th time- I love it!
Today was fun. I played soccer, the saturday ritual, and got totally muddy. It was way fun! But everyone (including me) was kind of lazy today so we only played for like an hour and a half. During the game I heard the ice cream man! So I sprinted to my car to get a dollar and I waved him down. The Ninja Turle with bubblegum eyes, my favorite, was $1.50. So I had to settle for one of those strawberry shortcake bars, oh well. The I drove home and cleaned up. Now, I'm procrastinating. I have to do some homework but I really don't want to right now.
Tonight, my friends and I are going to go to "The Rave". It's a club. Here's why we're going: Last night I went to this raquet club to play wallyball, then we went in the spa afterwards. When we were in the spa this guy came and sat in it with us. I started talking to him. He told me he just got out of the Navy and was working at a security place. Then he told us that he wanted to open up an autobody shop. I was like,"I have this roomate who LOVES cars! You guys should go out." Then he started telling me more about himself and everything just reinforced that him and Jamie would hit it off. So tonight, we're all gonna go to the club. It is going to be so funny. If they get married, I better get some of the credit! :o)
Yesterday, Crystal, Ric and I went for a bike ride. We found this dirt bike trail and followed it. There were even jumps on it! I went over one of the jumps and totally ate it!!! It was so hilarious!! But it hurts. I love living by the river, it's so nice. Anywho, I suppose I'll do some homework now...

Eco-Terrorism
I don't know if it's in the Santa Maria news but it sure is here, all the crap with the eco-terrorists. I must say, it's pretty funny when people ask me what my major is and I say environmental studies, it's like I dropped the F bomb or something. Ghetto. Anywho, some lame idiots keep planting pipe bombs and stuff at construction sites around here. And there was some kind of anti-war demonstration going on a couple of nights ago, not to mention there was a movie premire here last night. Vince Vaughn, the Rock, and of course the governator were all here. Needless to say there aren't many dull moments here in our capitol. Good times.
So, I hear Michael Jackson got sick. What a shame. It was funny to hear it on the news here. It even showed Marian hospital. What a treat! You guys should get on the news so I can see you! That would be so hilarious!!!!! My news is Fox 40.
I applied at Coco's today. It was pouring rain all day but I decided that I wanted to get out of the house and get a job. I didn't get one but it was worth a shot. Mimi's isn't completley off the list but we'll find out tomorrow.
Guess what! There's a church here called "Adventure". Isn't that totally cool? That is the perfect name for a church. I went to it too. It was bomb! But it's like 45 minutes away, so I don't think I'll make it a habit. I'll end this entry with my opinion on who should be the next American Idol. I'm gonna have to say either Constantine or Minnie Driver look alike. What do you guys think? I am so glad that one girl didn't make it, that one at the end where they had her go in with the other girl. She was ghetto.
Welp, I hope it doesn't rain tomorrow, that would stink. And I also hope our VCR tapes Point Pleasant unlike last week. And lastly, I hope all of you are doing splendid because I miss you like I miss See's candy and tucking Harry in. Love you guys!

Messy Room
My room is kind of messy right now. Because I tore it apart trying to find these little black things that connect to my metal organizer things. And after all that, I didn't even find them. Oh well. My sister Sara is visiting me right now. I kind of forced her to, I went to Winnemucca and picked her up on Friday. That was definitley a trip to remember.
The drive there was awesome! There was snow everywhere and I got there pretty fast without speeding very much. But on the way back, something dreadful happened. We were driving over the donner pass, just about to pass the agriculture check station, when this car just lost control and flew over the side of the road. It was so crazy!! I pulled over to the side of the road and called 911. Being in a panic, I couldn't really get many words out, but the operator got what she needed. Sara and I just sat there, debating on whether or not we should get out and see where the car went. Another car had stopped so we decided to leave. Our drive home was very slow. I went an average speed of about 55. The last place I wanted to be was in a car.
We made it home and went to bed and never found out what happened to the people in the car.
On a more fun note, Crystal, Sara and I went to the drive-in. This drive-in is insane! It has 6 screens! We saw "Boogeyman" and "White Noise" both were scary, especially "White Noise". And last night we rented "The Fogotten" it was just sad.
And the job thing, I talked to a manager at "Mimi's Cafe" and he's going to review my application with another manager today at 3:30. So, hopefully I will have a job soon. Please pray!!!!!!

Volleyball and stuff
Last night, Crystal and I played volleyball at this gym with our friends. We've played there before and it was way fun. So we started out and I just plain sucked. Seriously, it was bad. After we lost a game, this team challenged us but they only had 4 players. I decided to spare my team from any more anguish so I traded myself. As soon as I walked to the other team's side, 2 more players joined. I stayed on the team where I didn't know anyone. My skill level didn't change and people were getting irritated with me. This one guy was especially mean. It was ghetto. So I guess you could say that I didn't have a very fun night. When I got home, I started thinking about all of the stuff I thought I was good at. Like volleyball. I thought I was good- but I'm not. And soccer- I thought I was okay, I suck. The I started thinking about other things and it was sad. I just decided to sleep it off.
The Lord heard my cry and encouraged me today. In one of my classes we watched this video with this motivational speaker. He was very enthusiastic and compassionate. The whole video was about how every person is important and we can all teach each other something about life. I guess I was just extra emotional today because I almost started crying in class!! I knew that God let my teacher play that video today (because he wanted to show it last week but the VCR was broken) so that I could be encouraged. I really was too. I learned a lot in my classes today, that was very exciting. And to top it all off, I got to ride my bike to school!! It was even sunny and warm!
Emotions are so weird. Sometimes I get really annoyed by them and the timing of them but I'm glad I have them.
