Driving
I drove a lot this weekend, but it was well worth it. Disneyland was awesome, it was the most efficient trip to a theme park that I have ever had. While it was crowded, me and my family got to go on all of the good rides. And Space Mountain was amazing! Or should I say a-mazing. Now I anxiously await next weekend where I will fly to LA, go to my friend Neena's wedding, and spend a whole week in Santa Maria. I hope this week goes by fast! I can't believe it's going to be August tomorrow. I like the name Augustine, if I ever have a daughter I think that might be a name possibility. Well, I think I have run out of things to babble about. :o) Have a good week!

SBC Park- where the Giants play Posted by Picasa

Go Giants!
Yes, it was indeed an exciting weekend for me as I got to experience my first major league baseball game. It was soooo cool! The only crappy thing was that the parking was $25! Can you believe that?! The parking was more than the tickets. Even cooler was that the Giants actually won. After the game, we hung out in SF for the rest of the day. What an interesting city. I would never want to live there. It's really cool to visit, but it's a crazy place. God has been teaching me a lot lately. It's actually so much that I don't have time to write it all down. But basically, I've come to the realization that everything I have is His. My time, my money, EVERYTHING is His. And I need to honor Him in all that He gives me. I know it's going to be hard to act on at times, but in the end, I'm happy to do it for Him. Summer is going good so far. I still can't wait to come home. Just to be around familiar faces and places you know? Dude, this morning on my way to work I saw a shooting star! At 4:40am, it was so cool!

Independence
Or lack of. But by choice. Crystal and I moved in together. We took the next step in our relationship. The coolest part is that we made my old room into a lounge. I'll post pictures soon. We're looking for a cheap futon to put in it, so when guests come, they can sleep on it. I had a blast (haha get it) for the fourth of July last night. It was the bomb! As soon as I got off work, they started setting off this huge firework thing over at the fairgrounds. So I stood and watched that for a while. Then I went over to this school that my friend Steph and some of her friends were at and set off some illegal, I mean legal in other states, fireworks. It was so cool! We saved this one called dyno-mighty for last because the guy that Steph bought it from had a hook as one hand and he told her,"When you kids light this one, you run real fast." So, we lit it and ran and it was ghetto. But all of the other ones were awesome.
My dad came and visited this past weekend. It was good times. We went to a Rivercat's game, then for a bikeride, then to REI, and on Sunday we did "Tour de Sac" and did a 20 mile bike ride. It was awesome! I'm glad he came. Now to some exciting news.... I am coming home for a whole week in August! I even get to go on a jet!!! So, you know what this means right? I finally get to sing the song "Leaving on a Jet Plane" and actually mean it! Yes! My life's goal is finally accomplished. j/k. :o) But seriously, August 7-14th I will be home. Except for when I am in LA. And then, I turn 22! In like 1 month. That is crazy. Well, I think that's about all I have to say right now. See you soon!

First Day of Summer
Well, it's officially summer. Forecast for the week: 80's and 90's. As Paris Hilton would say, "That's hot." :o) I rung in the new season with none other than a trip to....... the Galt Flea Market. Yes, Stephanie, Lori and I made our way to Galt and had a splendid time rummaging through old vintage signs and other cool things. We even went to Lodi in search of antique stores, we only found one but it was still a cool trip. I came home and thought, "Hmmm, what could I do as my last event for the first day of summer?" So, I went for a bike ride. I went further than I had ever gone before on the bike trail. I felt good afterwards. Then, I came home and ate some oreos (with milk of course) and watched some pbs thing about China. Followed by Trading Spouses (activist edition, if any of you watched it don't you think the vegan mom was a jerk?) and House. A lot of TV, but it was nice to sit around for a bit. It has been a nice vacation, but I'm excited about going back to work. I really enjoy working at Jamba Juice. I crack up every time I'm there, it's just refreshing. And besides, I think I'm having smoothie withdrawl. No more sleeping in Crystal's room :o( I don't think she wants to wake up at 4am. I learned something really cool in my quiet time today. I haven't been doing them lately, so I decided that since God made summer I needed to spend time with Him during it.... :o) Anywho, I'm reading this book called "Don't Waste Your Life". It's really good. Today, I was reading about the term "glorify God". We toss it around all the time, but do we really know what it means? Then it talked about magnification. Magnification can be used in two ways. One way is like a microscope, it is used to make something small look big. And the other is like a telescope, it is used to make something huge look like it's actual size. And that's what we need to do with God. Magnify Him. Be the telescope that makes God look like His actual size by glorifying Him. I thought it was pretty cool and it made sense. :o)
Well, I gotta hit the sack, here are a few pictures from my vacation....

Vacation
It's kind of like I'm on vacation right now. I can do anything I want to do... except for go backpacking. Oh well, some other time. I've been sleeping in Crystal's room for the past two nights. I really like it. I brought my mattress in there, it's pretty funny. I just like talking to her before we go to sleep. Right now, I'm sitting here waiting for Steph to pick me up to go to Auburn. We are going to go to this bomb restraunt called Awful Annie's. They only serve breakfast and lunch but it is soooooooo good! Well, I don't have much else to say. I'm just kind of in a chill mood. Going with the flow, relaxing in the spirit of vacation. Good times.

Alcohol
So, today I was thinking. Before I was 21, or actually basically from the time I was 16-20 I despised alcohol. Well, I didn't despise it, but I never thought I would drink it. But when I turned 20 I started looking forward to being 21. I changed my mind about alcohol and decided that it would be okay if I drank a little when I turned 21. So, on my 21st birthday I drank it up a bit but didn't get drunk. I didn't like it because, lets face it, alcohol tastes gross. But I drank it anyway because that's what I was supposed to do. It has almost been a year since that day and I am still left here thinking. Alcohol is a depressant. It makes you do things that you will regret doing, and it harms your body if you drink too much of it. I ruins families, lives, futures and so many other things. I'm not going to be a hypocrite here because I have been known to have an occasional drink, but why the excess? Do people enjoy being taken advantage of, throwing their guts up, spending tons of money, and waking up with a headache as well as no recollection of what happened the night before? I was also thinking, does my view on alcohol affect the way I view other things? Like premarital sex for example? I definitley have a negative view on this subject and am certain that it won't change. But if I thought getting drunk was okay, would I think it was okay to have sex outside of marriage?
Friends, these are just my thoughts today. It's kind of sad to watch my generation waste their lives like this. It's not even shameful to them. What happens when they're a drunk dad/mom? Or what happens when they get married and have to tell their husband/wife that they have an STD? People need to step it up! Anyway, there's my heart for the day.

"When I'm Older"
That seems to be the theme in my life right now.... "I'll graduate when I'm older, I'll get married when I'm older, I'll have a good job when I'm older" and the list goes on. But everyday I get older, why can't older be right now? I just got off of work and I am exhausted. I worked 15 hours today ranging from 5am-12am. I don't really mind it that much because I have a gap in between to hang out at home, but it just really makes me look forward to aging. :o) Because when I'm older, I won't have to work like this. (Lord willing) You know what's kind of funny? It's almost 1am and I am the only one home. Crazy. I hope that doesn't happen when I'm older....

Basketball and Stuff
So, last night I chose option number 2- call up some friends. I had this burning desire to play basketball and I am very convincing when it comes to activities- so I convinced a few people to play. It was fun! At one point, it was 3 against 1. That was funny, and we still got beat. Oh well, what are you gonna do when you're playing with one of the Sacramento Kings? j/k After the big game, we walked across the street to Steve's house and watched the Bourne Identity and ate his food. Yum. When I got home, I was so happy. And to think, I could have missed out on that. I love friends, they're good to have. I worked at 5am today, kind of tired because I only slept for 3 hours, but it was worth it because I had fun last night. Also, I got off early because it was sooooo slow. Today at work was hilarious because no customers were coming in and we were just being silly. The song 867-5309 came on and my friend Becky and I just busted it out. It was great. After it was over I was like,"Man, I wish I could hear that song again." So our manager played it again and we all sang it. Good times. Then, after a while, he played it again. It was hilarious! That's my anthem for today. :o)
It's raining today, kind of sad. But, that's okay because all I feel like doing right now is relaxing. That's a good rainy day activity. I used to have a dog named Rainey. She was a black lab and chow mix. I loved her. :o(
Anywho, quote of the day.... "How could I forget about you? You're the only person I know."-Bourne Identity

The Traveling Pants
I'll admit it, I saw that movie last night. And you know what? I actually liked it! I laughed, I cried, it was a good one. You should all see it. I'm kind of bored right now, dare I say it. I have a few options that I have given myself to do but I doin't feel very motivated to do them. I just need to count to 3 and get up and do them. These are the options: go for a bike ride, call some friends up, scrapbook, go visit Arnold, finish Seinfeld season 4, do laundry, read, and that's about it. I'll eliminate the last three because frankly- I don't want to do those right now.

Flip Side
It seems that whenever I am in despair, something wonderful happens to remind me that I am never alone. Yesterday was that something wonderful. In the first place, I slept in until 1pm. That's right, but I was catching up on sleep... so it was okay. Then, I awoke to Crystal telling me that she didn't have to work anymore. I was so excited that I exclaimed, "I'll go anywhere with you!" And I hopped out of bed and got ready for a fun day with Crystal. We went to the mall and ate some sbarro. Yummy. Then we had coldstone, that's always a treat. After that, Crystal told me that I could invite 3 friends over for dinner because she was making Ben lasagne. So I chose Stephen, Stephanie, and Tad. It was way cool! We even took a walk afterwards in the American River rainforest/red light district. j/k. But it was so fun. I was happy with my choice. Then, I worked today but also got to hang out with Ric for a bit before he left for camp in PA. That was nice. And tomorrow, Crystal and I are going to go to Six Flags Water World (it's like hurricane harbor only it's like 2 miles away from our house) and go to a River Cats baseball game with our college group. What a day! It's so much excitemet, I don't know what to do. I can't even sleep!

The point of all of this is that God takes care of us. When we think that we can't handle anymore, He relieves us. He gives us just what we need to get by. In my case, it was a little quality time with Crystal and some grubbin' lasagna... among other things(MH). None of you can be replaced. Every friend that I have made has made a special imprint on my heart that will forever be with me. Thank you for those imprints, they help make up who I am. Wow, I sound so cheesy right now. :o) Anywho, happy Thursday!

Monday, Monday
Dude, this guy just walked by my house carrying a thing of flowers, I thought they were going to be for me but no luck. So, it's Monday, Memorial Day. A day that everyone is supposed to have off. I don't, and that sucks. But I have tomorrow off, so that should be good times. Ok, I am going to be completely honest right now. I am homesick. And not just a little bit, but there hasn't been a day that has gone by in the past 2 weeks where I haven't cried. I just miss people. I miss having a ton of friends who laughed at me, and valued me. I miss being new. I miss motherly love and compassion, I miss being tortialled and throwing weiners at people's condos. I miss not having to prepare meals and not being the first one up in the morning. I miss not being able to go to the beach when it's sunny, I miss not seeing the news anchors in the grocery store, I miss good strawberries, slip n slides, tri tip, family, orcutt burger breakfast, and so many other things. I feel like my heart is broken. I want this feeling of lonliness and emptiness to go away, but I don't know how to make it. Guys, this sucks.

Finals are Over!!
And I can't tell you how happy I am. I still like school and all, but man, these past few weeks have been so crazy. First of all, I started my job at applebee's. It's way cool and all but it was hard to do both jobs and school too. Last week was the worst. It definitley taught me that there's no way I can do that in the fall. Crystal just left to go take her last final- when she gets home, we're gonna pop open a bottle of Martinelli's. Good times. Both Jamie and Crystal are going home tomorrow. That will be weird to be home alone. Good thing I'll have work to keep me occupied. So it's gonna start getting hot here. Next week it's supposed to be in the 90's. That will be fun. Maybe I'll go in the pool, Jamie always tries to get me to go in the pool but I never want to because ducks swim in it and it's really cold. But I think I can make an exception if it's going to be 90 degrees. Happy summer!

Reminders
So, I just kind of feel like God is trying to remind me of some things. First of all, I think He's trying to remind me that He is my first love. There's a lot going on in life right now. I just feel like laying down and not getting up for like 4 days. That would be awesome! It's finals week. I feel so unprepared. We'll see how I do. I made a song up about Archaeology today, it was to the tune of 1-2 Step by Ciara. Pretty funny. Well, I'm really tired and I need to go to sleep. But I just wanted to update my blog and let all of you know that I care about you. Peace out!

The Thunder Rolls
Yup, it's raining here in Sacramento. The good thing is, there is also thunder and lightning. I love it! I had a great weekend. Austen graduated, it was good times. I got to hang out with the Hough's and Steve. Oregon was so beautiful! Everything was green. It was nice.
Ugh, I just got the mail. I seriously get so many credit card applications. It's so dumb. And I hate how they are so hard to rip up because they always put that fake card in there, come on, you guys know what I'm talking about. So, I start working at Applebees tonight. I am so nervous! I know it will be fun though, especially because I get to work with one of my friends from Hume Lake. Good times.

Lots of Excitement
Where do I start? I got my haircut, I really like it. And Michael, I am not being a dumb girl, I just needed a change. And come on, it looks hot! I went to a River Cats game for free. I had never been to a baseball game before and Renee had some free tickets, so I went! It was soooo fun! I want to go again and again. The only kind of lame thing was the absence of the hot peanuts guy. I was looking forward to hearing him say,"Get your peanuts!" Too bad. The semester is almost over. I have 3 papers to write this week.... not looking forward to it. Oh well, you gotta do what you gotta do. My buddy Stephanie threw Lori a b-day party. It was way fun! We had a bbq and played Cranium. We even watched the intense Kings game, even though they lost. Dum. Something crazy happened yesterday, Crystal and I went for a run on the river trail, but we decided to go in seperate directions and meet in the middle. So, I'm running for a really long time, I pass the halfway mark and get home again. When I got home, I called out for Crystal and she didn't answer.
So, I freaked out and got on my bike to go look for her. I rode my bike so fast around the river. I was almost home and I saw her walking. She had gotten lost! I was so happy to see her. I thought she got kidnapped or something. By the end, I was so sore and tired. I went home an ate a thing of Ben and Jerrys. Godd thing I had all of that exercise. :o)
I can't wait for Thursday. Mother Hen and Father Hen (the Houghs) are going to come to Sac and pick me up to go to Austen's graduation. Yippie! Also, I start Applebees on Wednesday. Good times. I am so excited for the summer. Even though it's going to be flippin' hot here, it's going to be a fun summer. And everyone that is reading this needs to share in the fun. In conclusion, I love baseball now, I have short hair, I'm going to Oregon this week, school is almost over, and my muscles are huge! Haha :o) Have a good week guys.

Here Comes the Sun
Today was an absolutely beautiful day! Perfect slip n' slide weather, too bad I don't have a yard. I did go to a pool today though, but I only put my legs in because it was really cold. I had a really random and fun day today. I went to church, then went out to lunch with Nate, Renee, and this guy Ben who I just met today. It was good times, it reminded me of how I used to go out to lunch at Red Robin after church in Santa Maria. Memories. After that, Renee and I went over to our friend Nate's house and he was like,"We should go over to my parents house because they have a pool." Nate even offered to let us borrow some of his boardshorts. We decided we should get bathingsuits, so we went to Target. As we were checking out, we heard a familiar voice. And guess who it was? Ric! How random! He was buying a Ken doll and a Care Bear. We talked to him for a while and went to Nate's parent's house. It was nice to meet them and talk to them, I miss parents. After hanging out by the pool, we took a walk around the neighborhood. We even saw a swan! And now, I am getting ready to go to church. I love days off. They are so great!
Anywho, I heard that this week is supposed to be really nice. I hope it's nice for Earth Day on Friday. My new favorite holiday! (just kidding, it's still Thanksgiving) Well guys, I hope your week is swell, and that the weather isn't inclement. I love that word. It's big stick time!

An Update Before Bed
Considering I have to wake up at 4am tomorrow morning, I gotta make this fast. I still have to do my taxes. Ugh. I owe money so I promised myself that I would wait until the last minute to do them. I sure kept my promise. I had a sad day at school today. By the end of the day, I felt really dumb. I felt inadequate and uneducated. I feel a little better now, but it just sucked. That's all the info. I have for now. I'm tired. Night guys and gals.

Country Music
I really like country music. I don't understand why people hate it so much. I think the words in most of the songs have a lot of meaning. They're simple, but heartfelt. Right now I am listening to "Where the Green Grass Grows". I really love this song just because it is simple. Here's the chorus: "I'm gonna live where the green grass grows, watch my corn pop up in rows, every night be tucked in close to you. Raise our kids where the good Lord blessed, point our rockin' chairs towards the west. Plan our dreams where the peaceful river flows... where the green grass grows." Country music just makes me think about what life should really be like, living in a beautiful place, growing your own food, spending your life with the person you love, etc. Okay, maybe the growing your own food part is a little over the top, but still. :o)
I got 3 of my mid-term results back. Two B's and an A! Yay! I'm telling you guys, I really like school. I'm not even kidding you. I got my oil changed today. My car is happy now.
I would just like to say that I think Constantine will make it in the top 3 of American Idol. He's on fire! And the song he sang on Tuesday might have been about me. Just kidding. Peace out guys.

Sin City...
was a waste of time and money. I thought it was going to be like a cool comic book, it wasn't. I wouldn't reccomend seeing it. But Hitch was totally awesome! It was such a cute movie, I reccomend seeing it. I went to the Drive-In last night with Steph and Crystal. Good times. So, school is over in about 6 weeks, totally crazy! I feel like I just started. I like school, actually, I love school. I feel like I am gaining so much by going. I've never felt this way about school before. I love it. I have to work in a half an hour. Today is gloomy. I feel like staying at home and cleaning. Oh well, I know that once I get to work, I'll like it. It's the going there that I don't like. I wish I could just transport myself places. Like on Star Trek. That would be totally bomb.
We took communion at church today, it was nice. I miss singing "Blessed be the Tie that Binds" after communion though. I feel like the church is really a family when everyone sings that song together. :o)
I suppose I better think about going to work soon. If you don't live in Sac, I miss you. If you do live in Sac, I'm thankful that I get to see you often. God bless you guys.

Sunburn
I got a little sunburned today. Kind of ghetto because I used sunblock and I still got burnt. That Ozone layer needs to do a better job, gosh! Crystal and I came home for a day. It was a totally random decision. My coming was decided by paper, rock, scissors. I won, so I came with Crystal. Very short trip though, so if I didn't see you, I'm sorry. That just means that you need to come and see me. I had a great day though. Most of it was spent at the beach (hence the sunurn). And the rest of it was spent with having quality time. I feel like an old woman because it's 10pm and I'm tired, I feel like I should do something tonight because I'm in Santa Maria and I'm not here very often. Coming "back home" is kind of weird. Everytime I pass Boomers, I get butterflies in the pit of my stomach. I don't really know how to explain it, I guess.
Tomorrow is April 1st. This year is going by so fast! It has been way exciting! I think that's all I have to say. Mother Hen bought me whole milk, yummy. I think I'll have some.

Night O' Fun
Last night was totally crazy. The original plan was to hang out at the casa and watch The Incredibles. That didn't end up happening. What did end up happening? Well here we go.... I got my butt handed to me in Jeopardy, I ate a really good dinner that I cooked, Crystal gave Ric a hair cut, Ric, Renee and I played "Occupational Dancer" and did some impomtu Karaoke, Steph pantsed me (punk), I peed my pants because Ric ripped one on me, illegally downloaded some awesome songs, and just plain had fun and hung out.... until 3:30am. Renee even spent the night, but she wouldn't have girl talk with me before we went to sleep. :o(
It was way better than watching a movie, even though I think I might do that tonight. I think I'll watch Beetlejuice. It's only like the best movie ever, gosh!
We have some crazy thunder action going on in Sac towne right now. It sounds like a bomb is going off. I don't have to work tomorrow, yippie.... actually I don't mind working, I even made a friend today. I like friends. Tomorrow at church, Crystal, Kim and I are going to wear our matching shoes. It's going to be the bomb for a matching day. Anywho, I'm gonna go watch a movie and probably crash. Good times.

Spring Break!
Well kids, it's Spring Break!!! And that makes me wanna dance! Mid-terms went okay. I think I did good on all of them. Crystal and I made a fat list of all the things we want to do during Spring Break. Some of the things on the list are: sleep on the balcony in a tent, make a silly snack, go out to dinner, watch the Austen Powers trilogy, take glamour shots, and many other exciting things. I am also coming/going to Santa Maria next week. I'll be there all of Tuesday and all of Wednesday. Good times. It better be sunny and warm or I'm going to be sad. I had to work today, it sounds funny to say work. It was cool, I did a lot of dishes. I am excited for Easter. Especially for peeps. Yummy. I just like that there's a holiday to remember the price Jesus paid for our souls. It's not that I forget, but it's good to be reminded sometimes. Praise Him! Well friends, it's time to clean my room- spring cleaning. :o) Love you all!

Wheat Grass
I had my first day of work today. It was pretty sweet. I even got to taste a bunch of stuff, like carrot juice, fresh orange juice, some green tea ginseng thing, and wheatgrass. That wasn't so exciting, I still feel gross from drinking it. Good times... I'm kind of bummed that I won't be able to be in Santa Maria for the whole week of Spring Break, but I'll be home for at least a day. I don't really have much to talk about. The new job is the big thing right now. Other than that, school is going good, mid-terms are this week. Actually tomorrow is the big test day, I have 3. I'm not really looking forward to it, but I'll be glad when it's over because that means one week off! Even though I like school, I like vacation too. :o)
Anywho, that's about it. Happy spring break to all!

Life is Good
So, I am still blown away by God's faithfulness. Sacramento is awesome. Friends are rad. School is the bomb. Everything feels so perfect. I even got a job! At Jamba Juice. I am so thankful, I can't wait to start working, well actually, I can- until after mid-terms. Yay.

Sore
My body is so sore right now. These past few days have been filled with a lot of physical activity. While I am really enjoying it, I am also really going to enjoy going to sleep tonight. It was such a nice day today! This whole week is supposed to be nice, I hope it is because that would just be great! But not as great as chocolate lucky charms, almost nothing can surpass their greatness. I am talking to Tani right now on the phone, it's her 21st birthday. We are having an argument about Constantine from American Idol. I think he is the bomb, and she thinks he sucks. She doesn't know real talent. Constantine is awesome. He's cute, he's a rockstar, and he sings great. Anywho, that's all I have to say. Goodnight all. I love you guys.
